Nicholas Giunta

Senior Faculty

Nicholas Giunta joined the Cornerstone Music Studios family in 2020 and is honored to be a part of this incredible, passionate community. Nicholas teaches Voice, Piano, Clarinet, and Foreign Languages. He is a graduate of Westminster Choir College, where he received a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance & Pedagogy in 2020. While at Westminster, Nicholas was awarded First Place in the 2019 Annual Voice Awards competition. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music.

As a young lyric tenor, Nicholas enjoys performing both operatic and musical theatre genres. He has appeared as Le Prince Charmant in Massenet’s Cendrillon, Dallas in Christopher Weiss’s Service Provider, Il Podestà in Mozart’s La Finta Giardiniera, Oronte in Handel’s Alcina, and Dick McGann in Weill’s Street Scene. A frequent performer of contemporary music, Nicholas has performed in the world premieres of Ellen Fishman’s Marie Begins (2020), Porter James’s Prophecy Machine (2014) and Yvonne Freckmann’s Close Encounters of the Hillbilly Kind (2012). In recent years, he has participated in music programs both in the U.S. and abroad. Such programs include the CoOPERAtive Program, OperaWorks, the University of Cincinnati CCM Opera Studio, Brevard Music Center, and Oberlin in Italy. 

Nicholas enjoys working with students of all ages and adapts his teaching techniques to fit each student’s individual learning style. The amazing community of students, faculty, and staff at Cornerstone Music Studios inspire Nicholas daily. He brings out each student’s unique artistry by fostering a constructive, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.

In his free time, Nicholas enjoys spending time with friends and going hiking.
