Jillian Scott

As a recent graduate of the College of New Jersey, Jillian Scott studied Music Education with a primary focus of trumpet. At TCNJ, she was involved with concert band, concert choir, wind ensemble and jazz band. She also served as treasurer and vice president of the women’s music fraternity Sigma Alpha Iota. When not at school, Jillian plays in parades, loves to keep fish, and enjoys outdoor adventures. She is also a music teacher for the Manalapan-Englishtown School District, where she teaches K-5 in music.

While trumpet may be her primary instrument, Jillian has outreached to other instruments such as piano, flute, and a variety of other musical instruments through her years as a musician.

Jillian is excited to work with her students and help to create individualized goals. Her methods of teaching believe in letting students guide themselves to success through personal goals, while instructing them in proper practice habits. Jillian believes the passions of the student should be supported and encouraged by the teacher, promoting success into motivation for her students.

Jillian is excited to work with musicians of all ages and experience, and to continue to pursue her passions in music. She is excited to share her passion and show the beauty in creating music.
