Jacqueline Burkholder

Jacqueline Burkholder is a mezzo-soprano soloist and bass chorister who studied voice with Dr. Christopher Arneson at Westminster Choir College. Jacqueline is a member of Westminster Symphonic Choir as well as a bass section leader at Trinity Episcopal Church in Princeton, NJ. She has performed in multiple solo concerts and recitals since 2021 and has appeared as a featured soloist in the annual fall fundraiser for the Marian Anderson Historical Society of Philadelphia. She performed the role of the Abbess in Puccini's Suor Angelica and as a chorus member in several other operas including Strauss's Die Fledermaus. With the Westminster Symphonic Choir she has performed in many symphonic works and experienced performing at Carnegie Hall in Orff's Carmina Burana with St. Luke's Orchestra in 2024. 

Jacqueline specializes in classical voice and piano and has a keen interest in the foundational and universal vocal techniques used in the art form of opera. Her piano teaching and skills are much influenced by the whole-musician approach instilled in her by Dr. James Goldsworthy. Jacqueline enjoys musical theater as well and her favorite show, Hadestown. She enjoys teaching music as a tool to better understanding one's self and to achieving freedom and authenticity of expression. 

Jacqueline is the parent of an eleven year old girl named Karli. She enjoys making and listening to music with her daughter, cooking meals for the people she loves, and reading books aloud with her partner.
