Isabel Wittman

Isabel Wittman is delighted to be on voice, piano, and ukulele faculty at Cornerstone Music Studios. A Millstone Township native, Isabel has worked in many diverse fields while maintaining her passion for youth music education at the core of her professional development.

While receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Music and Education from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, Isabel was fortunate enough to spearhead an after school music program for underserved youth in the city and worked diligently to promote and preserve the importance of music in education. After graduating in 2017, she went on to continue her passion for youth music education as a music teacher and choral conductor at The Hun School of Princeton where she was on faculty for 2 years. Isabel designed a curriculum for both middle school and high school that encouraged a core understanding of music theory, developing healthy vocal technique, and self-expression through different musical styles and performance.

Isabel returned to Memphis in 2019 where she served as Chair of Development for The Memphis Youth Symphony Program, a non-profit committed to providing professional musical development to youth all across the Mid-South area. While serving, she worked closely with the board and recruited volunteers to cultivate donors, create and implement fundraising campaigns, and increase social media presence to reach more youth interested in instrumental music. Isabel also served as a judge for The Orpheum's High School Musical Theatre Awards where she had the honor of supporting, promoting, and celebrating high school musical theatre across the Mid-South.

As an alumna of Cornerstone Music Studios, Isabel is humbled to have grown up and be inspired by an environment that celebrates the unique journey of each student and fosters joy in all aspects of musical development. Some of her favorite summers were spent participating as a camper in the Summer Music and Theatre Arts camps and Isabel has been thrilled to return for several summers as the Assistant Music Director for the CCAP Music and Theatre Arts camp. She loves getting to create, express, and have fun each summer and foster the same love for performance that she experienced as a young person.

Isabel believes music to be a deeply personal experience and prides herself on meeting each student where they are. She strives to instill and cultivate a passion for music in all of her instruction and encourages an open and fun environment.

Recipient of the 2017 Louis Nicholas Award in Vocal Music and 2016 Ruth Sherman Hyde Award in Music, Isabel has participated in multiple young artist programs in which she has performed roles in Poulenc’s I Dialoghi delle Carmelitane (Suor Mathilde) and Verdi’s Falstaff (Mistress Quickly) as well as worked with Canadian soprano Joan Patenaude and American soprano June Anderson. A member of the Philadelphia Symphonic Choir, Isabel has been humbled to perform under the direction of Yannick Nézet-Séguin in numerous performances including Leonard Bernstein's Candide with Bradley Cooper. Other favorite credits include The Old Maid and the Thief (Miss Todd), Heathers (Pauline Fleming), and Into the Woods (Jack’s Mother).

Isabel currently resides in Asbury Park, NJ with her 2 cats, Johnny Cash and Louis Armstrong.
