In this drop-in class, you will get to work through a song, monologue, or scene of your choice that is in your repertoire. If you have something you’re working on for an upcoming performance or audition you are more than welcome to bring that in! Together we will go through the nitty gritty of breaking down the scene to deeply analyze and interpret your piece. Through character work, we will piece together everything you need to create a fully formed picture and to become an expert storyteller. By building your own point-of-view and learning some tips and tricks for showing up as your best, you will be empowered to give a compelling performance, unique to you. In addition to group work, when available, you will get a chance to perform your piece and work one-on-one with Arielle Rabano.

Open to all middle and high school students.

Prerequisites: 1) a memorized monologue, scene, or song (be prepared to sing a capella or with your backing track), and 2) the printed text or lyrics of your piece (not sheet music)
